Mr. Lambdin began his
Martial Arts training in 1967 in the Wing Sing style of Kung Fu with Sifu
Jim Wonders. He has been fortunate to have trained with some of the best
karate instructors in the area, such as Larry Lunn, Algene Caraulia, George
Anderson, Il Jul Kim, Tarzan Young and Lynn Jackson. He has also attended
many seminars and clinics over the years under such masters as Osamu Ozawa,
Robert Trias, Phillip Porter, In Sun Sol and Maung Gyi .
He currently
holds the rank of 8th degree Black Belt in the Shotokan style of Karate and
an 8th degree Black Belt in Jujitsu. He holds the rank of 4th Degree Black
Belt in Judo with the United States Martial Arts Association and 5th Dan
Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do with the Central Tae Kwon Do Association.
He holds rank
in Kendo and Iaido with the Bujinkan Fellowship International and holds Life
memberships in the United States Judo Association and the United States
Martial Arts Association. He also hold's certified Black Belt's through the
World Union Karate Do Organization of Japan, and the USA Karate Federation.
He is a
certified judge and referee with the Federation, judging forms, fighting and
weapons. He was selected to be included in the 1987 edition of Who's Who in
the Martial Arts. Mr. Lambdin began teaching the martial arts in 1972 in
Lorain, Ohio in the Song Moo Kwan (Korean Shotokan) style of Karate. He has
had several schools over the years and has taught classes in police
self-defense, women's anti-assault and children's programs.
John first met his
lifelong teacher Mr. Larry Lunn in 1968, and the
teacher/student relationship and friendship continues to
this day.
Mr.
Lambdin is a Network Operations Supervisor with Alltel Corporation in
Hudson, Ohio. He is very active in the community having served as President
of the Communications Workers of America Union for over 20 years.

He is
an active member of the Masonic Order and has held the past posts of Master
of Oberlin Masonic Lodge #380, High Priest of Oberlin Chapter #219,
Commander of Elyria Commandery #60, and Illustrious Master of Elyria Council
#86. John currently is serving as District Deputy Grand High Priest of the 9th
District.
He
was awarded the Knight of the York Cross of Honour and is a member of Ohio
Priory No. 18.
He
also belongs to the Cleveland York Rite College and the Royal Order of
Scotland.
